Reliance Jio, one of India’s top telecom providers recently announced the JioPhone Next, in a collaboration with Google to bring budget devices to more users in India.
Now, it seems that the company is not willing to stop, with 91mobiles reporting with information from tipster Mukul Sharma that the giant is now working on its own tablet and TV, which will likely feature the Jio Tablet and Jio TV moniker.
These two Jio products will likely launch in the country in 2022, with this information coming just days after reports were suggesting that the company is also working on a Jio Laptop.
Jio Could Soon Launch a Tablet, TV in India
As of now, the Jio TV and Jio Tablet specifications are not known to us, but speculation suggests that the two devices will target budget consumers, something that Jio has done with the smartphone.
This new Jio tablet might run PragatiOS out of the box, much like the JioPhone Next, which also runs the company’s in-house operating system that has been built in association with Google for the budget smartphone.
Other expectations include a large screen and Google Play Store support, something that is obviously likely in a tablet. Qualcomm might equip this tablet with a budget or entry-level SoC for tablets.
